Colin was a great colleague and friend to me in our 12 years working together at GPT / Marconi. He was a master of his brief but always generous in sharing his knowledge. Always calm under stress (BT was the Customer!) and careful with his decisions, he was the "Go-to-Man" in the team. Looking back, I realise that he made me a better engineer, but then of course for me, he did so much more and was a true friend. My valued memories of Colin will always make me smile!
